Diamonds
An immortal gem, diamonds were born from the depths of the Earth over a billion years ago, where carbon atoms fused into an unbreakable bond under immense heat and unimaginable pressure. This act of creation produced an extraordinary mineral wonder of nature. Since their discovery by humans, diamonds have remained a symbol of unparalleled beauty and a coveted object of desire through the centuries. It is easy to be captivated by the beauty of a diamond, which is why it is crucial to confirm its value through expert assessment and certification.
4C
... diamonds, the most precious of all gemstones, are our passion and specialty. Each stone possesses unique characteristics that give it its distinct character and beauty. The value of each diamond is determined based on four key parameters, known as the "4Cs." Each of these parameters plays a crucial role in evaluating and pricing a diamond. As specialists in the field, we ensure that every diamond is not only beautiful but also of the highest quality.
Clarity
Clarity refers to the number and type of internal inclusions and external blemishes within a diamond. The fewer such imperfections, the higher the diamond's value. When selecting a diamond ring, it's worth considering clarity grades SI1 or SI2. In these grades, inclusions are small enough to be invisible to the naked eye, offering an excellent balance of quality and price. Often, clarity is a major factor in determining a diamond's value.

Diamond Cut

The cut of a diamond is a crucial element that influences the stone's final beauty, as it determines how the diamond reflects light. A well-cut diamond reflects light in hundreds of reflections, making it appear more impressive and sometimes even larger than other diamonds of the same weight. When assessing a diamond’s cut, factors such as proportions, symmetry, and cutting style are considered. Each of these elements is rated on a four-point scale: Excellent, Very Good, Good, and Fair.
Carat
Carat is the unit of weight used to measure diamonds, where 1 carat (ct) is equivalent to 0.20 grams. A 1-carat diamond consists of 100 points. While the size of a diamond, measured in carats, significantly impacts its value, the most important parameters remain the cut and clarity. These factors ultimately determine the stone’s beauty and quality.

Barwa

Diamonds come in various colors, ranging from completely colorless to shades of yellow and brown. The color of a diamond is assessed on a scale from D to Z, developed by the Gemological Institute of America (GIA). This scale is globally recognized and divided into five categories: colorless (D-F), near colorless (G-J), faint yellow (K-M), very light yellow (N-R), and light yellow (S-Z).
Diamond Quality Certificates
Certificates of quality for gemstones, particularly diamonds, are extremely important for both producers and customers. The most important international gemological institutes include:
- Gemological Institute of America (GIA): The most recognized institution globally, the creator of the 4Cs scale, offering certifications and training.
- International Gemological Institute (IGI): Known for precise evaluations and a wide network of laboratories worldwide.
- HRD Antwerp: A Belgian institution specializing in diamond grading and certification, renowned for its stringent standards.
International gemological institutes form the foundation of credibility and transparency in the gemstone trade, providing both sellers and customers with assurance about the quality and value of the jewels they purchase. All diamonds we offer above 0.30 ct come with a certificate from one of these three institutions.
Why is a Certificate So Important?
Guarantee of Authenticity::
A certificate is a document confirming that the diamond is natural and not a counterfeit. It gives customers confidence that the stone they purchased is genuine and meets specific quality standards.
Detailed Information about the Stone:
The certificate provides a detailed description of the stone’s parameters, such as weight, color, shape, clarity, and the type and quality of the cut. This information is crucial for accurately determining the diamond’s value and is essential when selling or insuring jewelry.
Customer Trust:
Possessing a certificate from a recognized gemological organization, such as GIA, HRD Antwerp, or IGI, builds customer trust in the seller. Customers feel more secure knowing that the stone has been evaluated by independent experts.
Facilitating Trade Transactions:
Certificates are often required for trade transactions, especially when selling diamonds at auctions or in international markets. They allow for easier comparison and valuation of stones.
